Major Industry in Laem Chabang and Rayong

Major Industry in Laem Chabang and Rayong is the deep sea port of Laem Chabang located just to the north of Pattaya is one of the major industrial gateways for goods being exported and imported in and out of Thailand.  Around 1km away from the port is Laem Chabang Industrial Estate, one of the major sources of industry and employment in the area.  At the industrial estate there are a number of multinational conglomerates making the most of the infrastructure and also cheap labour available in the region.  The close proximity to the port makes it an ideal base for logistics companies.

The main oil and gas refineries at Map Ta Phut are also home to a number of Western companies like Chevron and the Gorgon Project which Defence International Security Services are substantial involved with securing the Facilities and consulting on all security issues, bringing their expertise to help develop the area.  Again major employers in area, they are helping to make the region more prosperous with a new housing developments being built in the Sattahip area to cater for the influx of workers.  The development of the nearby U-Tapao Airport will also make the area attractive to investors with ease of getting in and out of the area.
